Title: SUGGESTION: A better way to graphically place objects.
Post by: He-Man on Wed 10/01/2007 23:21:40
Hello
I've just started using AGS 2.71 and I must say it has improved a lot since the last one I installed (2.61 I think). I especially like the new scripting style.
Well, one thing that still bugs me is the graphical part of the Room Editor. I'm currently working with 640x480 screen resolution and I find it really hard to place object because the screen where I can place the object only is half the size. So what I am suggesting is that the screen where you place the objects matches the game resolution or if that's not possible then maybe a zoom function. I would also be extremely nice to be able to move the objects around with the arrow-keys like you can in for example Photoshop.
That way it would be much easier to place the object right where you want it be with out having to test the game again until you find the exact location.
I hope this helps and thanks for an awsome game editor!

Yep, I agree, as I already wrote in another topic.  :P

So basically what you're saying is you want the room coordinates to match the actual coordinates according to the resolution. It'd be cool, I know it's been mentioned before, I'm not sure how much work it'd take, though.
