I was thinking that maybe to enhance the AGS lighting features that for every region, there can be a button you can check called Gradual Tinting/Lighting. Clicking this would show 3 boxes:
Red =
- to [255]
Green = - to [255]
Blue = - to [255]
And of course 255 being the limit, it would be changeable. And for lighting you could have another checkable box, and that would open two boxes:
Min [-100] to Max [100]
OR
Min - to Max [200]
Wouldn't something like this be better instead of using 3 to 4 regions for gradual lighting/tinting?
Ain't it in the tracker?
Yes, it is: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/tracker.php?action=detail&id=46
It's something I would like to add at some point.
Oh, I didn't see that. Thanks for the info.
This seems like something that would be awfully easy to script. In fact, all the code for the gradual increas/decrease should be in that scaling module (I forget who made it, SSH most likely) that allowed diagonal scaling, you only need to pass light levels/color to the characters instead of the scales.
