I want to make a german translation for the AGS Helpfile 2.7

Hello,

I'm from Germany and I'm about to make a german Translation for the AGS Helpfile 2.7!

My first Question: Am I alowed to make it, at all?

My request for that, goes to Chris Jones.
Please send me changes in the helpfile, if there are or will be, so I can update my german helpfile as fast as possible.
Sure, I could wait for new releases but its to much work and can get to unclear, to update all the changes at once.

I hope for a positive answer.

I'm generally not in favour of translations of the manual, since the software itself and these forums are in English, it would be difficult for anyone who didn't speak English to get help.

However, if you really do want to go ahead with it, then I can supply the source files.

So I go ahead with my Translation for the AGS 2.7 Helpfile and inform you if its ready to release.

Im already in Adventure-Treff Forum (same nickname) and just wanted to ask if there are any problems with making a german Translation and release it in the WWW.

I would be thankful for informations about changes in the english Helpfile.

So I made the Translation (not complete, but it's a start, for sure) and its Online!

It is available at Sinitrena's Website: www.sinitrena.de.vu
Under AGS (only available from the Left Navigation Frame on the Site!)

I will go on with the work on it, and if anybody wants to help me with it, just contact me or send me your Translations, and I will insert it.

Do I have to write something additional in it like: its not my work, its from chris Jones! (In officially style for sure)
Because the credits and Copyrights are just in translated Version in it?
Or, are the translated Versions enough?

Definitely make sure to mention that this a third-party translation and that there's no official support in german. We don't want CJ to get flooded with german-language requests.
I would also change any links to the official forums to Adventure-Treff.

Yes, please do mention that you have done the translation, based on the original English text and that for German help they should visit the Adventure Treff forums.

OK, that is why I asked this Question.

So I change All Links to the Enlgish Forum into Links to Adventure Treff (and add links for the Original AGS Site to the File so the people will find the Original AGS Site.)
And I will add the needed Entries.

Hello,
now I am working with podthepunk and other members together. Maybe you hear from me 3/4 year ago ( I had started the translation). So now, my Site (Relaunch at 14.04.) is concernig only with AGS - that means there are the German AGS-Manual, AGS-FAQ, (German) AGS-Stuff, Tipps, AGS-Games.... Now, I have set a forum there, the whole site is only a few days old, so the forum is still primitive. If there are later enough users I want to use a forum similar this. So, now to my question: Can we link to this forum,too or with the time only to this? Adventure-Treff.de have a Forum, but its not the main topic of this site / forum. It would be nice, if you link this site / forum in the AGS-related list. Of course there will be not ad. By the way I would prupose you to check the other links - for example the russian site links to pornographic site and the french is very crappy....
