Title: suggestion - multiple region layers
Post by: dasjoe on Tue 21/10/2003 17:35:28
i'm missing the feature to create more than one region at one place.
or is there any way to create 2 regions which interfere each other?
or is there any other way of creating an effect like in sam'n'max:
you have 2 different lightning values in a room, you can switch the light off and you can switch an other light on. these lightning-thingys overlap each other.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to overlap regions, but you could maybe have 3 regions, the 3rd being the part that is overlapping which could be used for both light sources.

Someone else may have some other ideas

How about making these new lights be colored characters, and change their transparency level?  You can still interact with them since theyre chars...

by the characters, i meant make them look like the block shapes the lights would create, and then change those.

Regions cannot overlap, but Timosity's suggestion will work well - just create a third region for the overlapping area, and then set its light level appropriately if either or the other light is turned on.
