Title: Suggestions: DIVX compatibility
Post by: Stee on Mon 19/09/2005 14:08:29
I apologise If this is already added but i cannot see it in the features, but how about allowing DIVX .avi cutscenes, so that some of the larger games, dont, er, need to be so large?

It's already "allowed". AGS plays AVI files; if the files happened to be compressed with DivX, so much the better.

A workaround is to include DivX or (better) XVid codecs with the game package.

Just rename them from DIVX to avi and they will play as avi.

That will only work if the player has the codec installed, which not everyone has.

Make uninstaller and add it . lol oh ya ask them if it is ok .or have it download for them if they are to lazy to get it as everyone should have it now in their computers.
