Well, I've spent about an hour reading the manual and hunting around, and I haven't been able to find either a straightforward explanation or a script to dissect and modify (or at least anything up to date)...
In short, all I need is a nice, simple - emphasis on simple - save/load GUI that uses custom graphics. No screenshots or anything too complex, just 10 or so slots, the requisite up/down/save/load buttons, and that's it.

Help a newbie out? ;D

Two threads about Save/Load GUIs, that're quite up to date (V2.7).
If you haven't read them yet, do - they should at least be a starting point -and if you have, what's the probelm with them? (Being 2.7, they use the old string type as opposed to the newer String handling, but if you can get the basics of how the GUIs work from them, changing that shouldn't be a problem.)
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

Hm, I'd skimmed the second thread, but somehow the first one was able to completely elude me, despite actually being linked in the second thread. Ah well, my ability to overlook the painfully obvious surprises even me sometimes - either way, going to go put something together based on those; I'll let you know how it goes.
