Title: Yet another Linux question.
Post by: The Suitor on Mon 01/10/2007 20:34:26
I can run the AGS editor under ubuntu(feisty) linux with WINE just fine. I can test a game until I press quit, then the cursor in the game window completely locks up, but the cursor outside of the window moves normaly.

Does anyone know what I can do to to fix this?

Wine seems like it runs a little slow as well. I'm a slight a newbie to Linux, btw, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you testing with the Linux version of the engine, or running the Windows engine under WINE?

Have you tried the native Linux version of the engine? This is what it's there for, after all ;)

Yeah, I could never get it to work, as I said before I'm a n00b to linux :'(. I'm still a bit confused on getting the linux engine to work. I've tried tutorials and stuff.   It seems like thats about the Only thing I can't figure out how to get to work.

Hehe well I'm afraid I can't help you with running it under WINE, perhaps one of us Linux bods will be able to do so.

I'll try getting the linux engine working.  I might just be in a brain fart  :D  Any help with that would be awesome.  I need a quick-ish way to test while i'm developing the game.
