I've just taken a look at the complete list of games, and I see there are 998 in the database! So before long we will have 1000 games! I wonder what game number 1000 will be?

The database currently has 1019 entries. Some of these are for games that have been removed or deleted, though, which is why the actual count seems to be 998.

??? Dave Generic has number 1145... according to my count there are 95 articles non-existent. That leaves 1050 entries. But you can ask yourself what is a game? In these 998 are also the non-adventure games, (non)-playable demo's etc. So the title should be: the 1000th ags database entry.
Im my list at the moment are 933 'real' games. So no non-adventures, no non-interactive previews or demo's and no non-interactive joke games. A few of them can't be found anymore. Do they still count? And I'm still struggling with some of the so-called joke games. To some they are jokes, to others they are nonsense. But as long as they have some kind of interaction, I count them as games.
Besides, there are a lot of games that didn't make it into the database but can be found on the completed announcements, the MAGS entries, the HOUR games or the OROW games. These should also be added to the AGS games list. So far I'm at 933, with still a few joke games to add.... So I estimate I'm around the 950 mark.
Is every entry a game? Could be a plug-in too.
There are also many RON games not listed in the ags db, though they used to have their own category. Were they removed?
My list are excluding the 81 RON games.
Yeah, there seem to be missing database entries too, not just blank ones. Entry 1020 (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/games.php?action=detail&id=1020) in the database doesn't exist, for instance, which isn't reflected in the game id numbering. Which is why the 1145th game is actually...um...the 998th? 933rd?
