For your consideration:

A madness for spiritualism has gripped London in 1907. Séances and theatrical shows where spirits make contact with their living families are all the rage, and there are a legion of investigators trying to discover the secrets of the supernatural. Among them, Professor Patrick Moore stands at the forefront, and he is now at a crossroads ‒ he's got 72 hours to prove the existence of the Great Beyond or else his Metapsychic Investigations Department will shut down forever.

Racing against the clock, with the help of a fake medium named Beatrice Shaw, he must complete a prototype of the Box of Revelations, an artefact devised by his missing mentor that enables seeing dimensions hidden in our reality. Building this device will take him from the foggy streets of London to the steep shores of Scotland, and finally to 34 Benwell Street, known as the most haunted manor of England.

And now for something completely different...

Since all my dev time has been taken up with CD3, I think this is the only game I released in 2024 - a sort of follow-up to Snow Problem.

Flow Problem is a simple but challenging retro puzzle game where you have to try and guide as much water as possible down to the bottom of the screen. Hindering you are obstacles such as rocks, fire rocks and blocks of ice, which each affect the water in different ways, You also have the effects of sand to deal with.

Contains 20 algorithmically-created levels plus a random level generator.

I was unsure about including my game—more of an experiment—in this section, as it doesn't quite align with the many superb games I see here. However, since it was created as a simple homage to the distinctive aesthetics of Game Boy games—and considering the relative effort it took to me to create a top-down game in AGS (I programmed a day, afternoon, and night cycle; events triggered at specific times; two or more endings; various Easter eggs; a plot-twist; a custom inventory system; shaders; a save system, among other features)—I've decided to nominate it for a couple of categories.

For Your Consideration:

Please consider this game for

- Best Programming
- Best Gameplay

...or whatever category you think it fits best.

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION...

...and also to know your kind opinion about my job:

-Should I keep on making games?
-Or would it be better if I give in and spend the free time playing with better adventure graphics?

In spite of this, I'm glad to promote my free game.

AGS game page

Falco is a character I'm trying to develop to make a series of medium length crime stories, then maybe a long story in the future; they all take place in Italy, while this story in particular is set in a small town in the Venetian region.

Despite he was a detective specialized into solving homicides, I decided that his debut story would involve him into solving a task which is way funnier than finding a killer, yet it won't be so easy: he has to free the town festival from drunkards, who usually have party until late night, bothering the neighborhood and especially the major; furthermore, more problems will show up during his mission!

The idea of the story came from a real fact I heard about. In a hamlet around my zone, law enforcement is not always able to stop town festivals and they might end up to be sent away by local people.

Also Falco loves to drink and he doesn't mind to join the old men to have party with them, but he's loyal to his duties and he soon will activate to achieve his mission.

The game is available in Italian, English and now in German(thanks to @The Last To Know!).

I know I am far away from obtaining a nomination, but I'll anyway try and suggest the following categories:

-Best game of the year
-Best freeware game
-Best visuals
-Best character: I'd suggest the old man you see lying next to the stage... And Falco of course!

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

France, Spring 1789.
Social tension rises while nobility, in their convenient and accommodated position, enslaves the common people with their taxes. Meanwhile, Jean Pierre de Saint-Cove, a noble aristocrat, secretly hides behind his mask to fight injustice and inequality, and to give back to the people what they rightfully deserve.

Use your full cleverness to solve the different situations along the way until you fulfill your purpose. Both your sword and eloquence will be your most trusted allies, without forgetting the help of your loyal friend Mathieu and beautiful Violette Hulot, who will get you out of trouble more than once and without whom you would never be able to top this adventure.

Confront aristocracy and the Deputy Chief of police, Baron LeComeau, to overthrow the Old Regime by finding out about the best hidden secrets of nobility, and using them to your advantage.

Persist in your eagerness to achieve your goal! Be brave, smart and hilariously crazy to achieve victory!

It is an honour for me to be able to participate, being the first adventure game I have developed. Thank you very much in advance to all of you who trusted in the project and who support us every day.

The Phantom Fellows features observational and situational humor that is incredibly authentic and unique, while also providing heart and satisfying character arcs as well as an overarching story that slowly comes to a boil on the final day. It handles the subject of death with a certain grace, balancing comedy and philosophy in a way that leaves the player with a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. Each line of dialog, every pixel, and every musical note has been lovingly crafted by a solo developer who is deeply passionate about adventure games.

I had the best 4 years of my life making this game, and I think you'll be able to tell when you play it! :)

You're invited to explore the world, interact with hundreds of unique hotspots, dozens of characters, and see the dead come to life in The Phantom Fellows!

The Phantom Fellows is about 2 best friends who start a paranormal investigation business together, since one of them is already dead. It has heart, lots of laughter, and provides endless rewards for the player's exploration. Taking place over 7 days, with each day being its own case, you'll take control of Oliver (the breather) and Englebert (the floater), switching between them to utilize their strengths.

Features include:
- A travel map that opens the world, allowing players to revisit previous locations for alternate puzzle solutions and fresh interactions.

- An in-game, dialog-based hint system with a natural, conversational feel, as Englebert plays the role of mentor to Oliver. Hints are delivered one at a time, letting players choose how much or how little help they want.

- Everything is a hotspot: The heart of an adventure isn't in reaching the destination, but in the exploration along the way. Every hotspot has unique and thoughtful responses for both characters!

Come join the adventure and unravel the mysteries of The Phantom Fellows!
