Title: 4k and adventure gaming.
Post by: Giraffadon on Tue 02/12/2014 17:38:21
Hey everyone.

I was wondering how the 4k switch in resolution is going to affect many of you making games?

Has anyone on here:
•thought about making/already producing any adventure games exploiting this new rise in resolution?
•Considered adapting/upscaling their already successfully made releases?
•will AGS be supporting the increase?
• What are your thoughts on the whole change coming and how it will change your production?

Obviously this won't effect those who wish to make games in a pixelated style, but it may open up
some unforeseen(by myself) benefits.

thank you for reading.

Dom.

Since 3.3 AGS supports running any resolution your display/gfx card can, since 3.4 it will support any game resolution.
"Supporting" means practical possibility to do so, but the engine is not optimal for that big resolutions in general.
