May I ask... why just "A"?

so far the site is very nice.  I'm still looking.

what is daisy and where can i download, if that's possible, her?
dr. sbaitso is starting to annoy me

Yeah, its nice, but idont even know who is daisy( i supose a bot on #ags?).
And i think the reviewers should add more reference to the producers, that is their hompage, so we know where to download it.
And maybe if you the reviewers agree, to add marks?Or not, cause that could be maybe a little ?controversial?.

Just mentioning Dr. Sbaitso brings back so many fond memories.

And more on-topic, great initiative. Very legible layout and such. How much? Such much!

Oh,  so that's what the interview was for.. I just thought Grundislav wanted to ask me some questions for no reason :P

Thanks everyone.

Barick: I wanted something that was more readily available and frequently updated. I figured by now someone would have made an AGS news site but since none have I decieded to make one...

Simpleness: Thanks, I tried to keep it as clean and easy to read as possible. I am a big fan of sites with few eye sores and more content. As well simple sites are easy on 56k and printers so...

The site will be updated as frequently as possible so keep an eye on it.

Oh sorry, Daisy is a conversation bot. With mind blazing AI that would make you swear you are talking to another person...I forgot where the software is located try google or perhaps someone will post a link.

Well, what I mean is that there is no need for competition, or just plainly more than one such E-Zine for a community such as ours. It doesn't matter whether it is A, or AGDZine, or Vel's E-Zine, I just believe we want to see people from all E-Zines put their best effort and do the best AGS one we have seen.

Loved every single word! The reviews and interviews were particularly good. Well, the Daisy one didn't make that much sense, but somehow I think that's supposed to be the case.

The layout is indeed perfect. It's effective. Most web developers go for the eye candy and forget that a website still has to serve its function: give information. You hit the mark here!

A small question though, on the Articles. If I want to write one and it was of such quality that you would publish it, would you?

Oh, and I'll ask Unilin something soon. *grin*

Once again, nice work!

Yes a question here... do you guys from A ags news, pick things to write about, or can we also send our articles to you? Or can we ask for an arrangement for an interview, for example when your about to release a decent game?!

Thanks again..

Barick: I understand what your saying...I dunno maybe something will work out.

Hobbes/Minimi. I don't see any problems with guest articles but please make sure you contact me and am sure I am aware and have agreed to an article and its context before expecting it to be published.

Although I would appretiate the hard work I would prefer to be informed before hand. To avoid hate mails of 'I worked so hard on this and you publish it now please GRR I HATE YOU' and the likes...

As far as picking what to write about..It is basically what is happening or what is on the mind. I try to leave all the writers free to write what they like...They pick the games they want to review, who they want to interview and what they want to write about. The only thing I really do to govern it is say like 'We are sorta short on reviews we need more!' or whatever..I am sure cases will come up where a certain game or article will 'need' to be written but otherwise it is a free-for-all.

Czar, Sorry didn't catch your edit till now. I don't want to do the whole rating thing cause on a hole almost every rating system has a flaw. I prefer someone to say whether they liked or disliked the game and why. Simple as that.

But as far as homepages and such people are always moving around and the task of keeping up links after awhile will become quite a pain. The reviewers generally mention the creator somewhere in the review. Otherwise you can find pretty much every game on the Games page or in the Finished games thread so they shouldn't be too hard to track down.

Then why are we all making our own little games instead instead of working together on one huge adventure? ;) Maybe the saying (I don't know if you use it in English) "too many chefs spoil the soup" is true.

True, but I think there is quite a practical difference. After all, we all have separate ideas for games, but does it hurt one's individual need to express himself if his review of P:DA from AGDZine and someone else's review of Larry Vales from A come together?

Uharghemhugm..

I just dropped in to say the site has been updated...And if all goes well should continue to be updated no less then once a week. Some weeks less some weeks more it all depends.

Scumm: Sure, IG has gotten enough exsposure as it is...

It's 'too many cooks spoil the broth' in English, but it means exactly the same thing, since broth is soup...

You should put a link for download in the Moose Wars review. The one in the AGS games section no longer works...

At any rate, I have the game, so if you'd like to have it, I'm sure you could always PM me and I  would be happy to send it via e-mail, after you give me your address. Or, if I'm on-line I could DCC it on IRC or send it through AIM.

Nice, nice! I think this is the best AGS e-zine around.
However, I have to make a slight correction. Moose Wars was not the first non-adventure game made with AGS. I think I released at least two, maybe three, non-adventures before Moose Wars and even before that we had that old dart game by Scid (at least I think it was by Scid).
Well, still a nice non-adventure game, but not the first.

Vargtass - yeah, I had realised it later on, so I was thinking of making a a gag out of it and saying, to each non-adventure game made, that it was the first one made. Thanks for blowing it, though. JERK! hehe.

Hehe, I just wanted to make myself worth something...
Anyway, this thread will be forgotten later on, so you can still do that.
Btw, I'm currently making a PBEM strategy game with AGS, so I look forward to a review once it's released... ;)

I love it , It made me want to bookmark it with out being asked!
the best thing about it is the frequent updates!! shortly followed by how truley interesting some of the reviews are!

I really dont mind about the added appearance of more and more review things eg agdzine , A , ect ect... If they review the same game it gives you two reviews and even more of a choice in my opinion.

I hope to get an appearence in here one day :)
