Most of you are probably aware of this, but I feel the need to even so show this to those that are unaware.

Experimental Gameplay, has a theme per month, and regardless of game engine it asks people to make games in 7 days based on that theme. I've played many games unaware they were runner-ups and winners of this competition. I think Braid and World of Goo were entries. But not sure.
Anyhow check it out. ;)
Yeah, many indie games have been inspired by the experimental gameplay project. One worth mentioning is Crayon Physics Deluxe (http://www.crayonphysics.com/). Anyway, it's worth noting that this competition is especially for experimental gameplay, so making a classic point & click for the competition doesn't really make much sense.
Haha yeah, Braid was an entry. It look a *lot* different (http://www.experimental-gameplay.org/2005/index.html) back then ;D
Some cool ideas and games have developed from this competition, and it has been running for ages :D
Hah! Ben that's classic! Nice avatar btw.
Haha I know, right? Still makes me giggle when I look at the original graphics :D
