Does your site use an old version of wordpress?  I had the same exact error, once upon a time.  I had to download everything onto my hard-drive and do a virus check on everything.  Everything file labelled "index.htm" or "index.html" was infected.  I removed these files, then re-installed wordpress and reuploaded everything.  Seems fine so far.

Hmm, cheers Dave... I use Notepad to edit HTML files... The only thing I can think of is it being the counter code in the pages... hmmm  ???

JA-Staff2 still hasn't read the e-mail so I started a new thread just to be safe. I'm sure it's only a matter time before this misunderstanding is sorted out.

Probably not. I got pissed off  :P

FruitTree

I'll definitly go and I'll see if I can get viporizer to come along! for good old times sake ;)

Thanks, you're right - that does keep appearing, even after I delete it again!

And for some reason clicking on some pages tries to load "martuz.cn" whatever the s**t that is. I'll look into this, cheers! :)

LOL so sorry Vince I must've hit edit rather than reply with quote! LOL :/ - m0ds

Great, now it looks like I'm talking to myself...

m0ds

Loon! :P Hehe anyway thanks Vince you were right, that code had infected every HTML page on my server - gah! I spent the day yesterday removing the code though. What ze hell  ??? Oh well, It's gone now - so if there's any way of you checking if my site is still an "attack site" or not, I'd be glad to know :)

mätzyboy

I just registered for a 2 day ticket. Looking forward to the event!

I just tried. Using Google Chrome / Avira Antivir. Chrome gives me a "Malware detected" warning...

It doesn't seem to ATTACK as such, though. It just sits in the corner, growling menacingly.

[edit]
Cleaning the cache doesn't do anything. Still the same warning, though I admit that Chrome can be a bit paranoid at times.

I had this problem on my websites before. Infected everything. The only way to get rid of it on all of the pages is by going into SSH and running a remove string from all files.

Does Chrome detect Malware itself or does it use a list maintained by Google for that?

It checks the Malware itself. If it finds anything such code, it will detect it. if all else fails, if the domain is on a dangerous list, it will also call such a warning. Gametrailers.com sometimes gets hit with malware. This proves that chrome detects it itself and not look at a list of dangerous domains.

Azure

...I'd nuke the entire site and start again. Copy and paste useful text, but leave out any code.

Hmm, I don't like nuking my sites unless it's because I'm doing a re-design or something. There really aren't too many HTML files and I think I've cleaned most of them up.

In fact, today, luckily, I got an automated email from Google to tell me which areas of my site are now still or considered effective.
There are days when I really do have to say Google do a fine job :)

Stupot

Yeh, bravo Google. You can't say fairer than that. :)

A small update:

The website is nearly ready

I said it'd be awful. :P

Ok, domain names. Something that can last a few years, which do you like of the following available ones?

adx.org.uk
adxpo.co.uk
adxpo.info
adventurex.eu
adventurex.org.uk
adventurex.biz

Cheers :)

AGA

adventurex.something. All the shorter ones are just confusing.

m0ds

Yup, and all the .something's are lame too. AdventureX isn't a biz...ness... or an orgy in the UK, but whatever, I suppose you're right about it being "adventurex" and not "adxpo" :)

Leon

Depending on where the event will be held:

adventurex.in/london/ or where ever it's to be... Easy to change later on.. just add another primary folder and you're done.

Whaaat? It's not an orgy? Lucky me the advance ticket "reservation" wasn't conclusive then. ;) Yes, adventurex is much better than adxpo.
