Title: AGI Sprites
Post by: on Thu 03/02/2005 16:30:06
OK. I was wondering, is there any way in heck to extract a complete view from AGI Studio and then port it over to AGS? I did some reading and haven't found a program to do this, but apparently Paint SHop Pro reads the view files. This is rather inconvenient for me since this is not my computer that I am doing this work on nor is there enough space for that overbloated program to fit on the hard drive.

Any one know of a way around this?

I suggest you read the rules, just in case, as they do say not to ask how to rip sprites, and this is very slightly related to ripping sprites...

Anyway, can't you just export them as sprites? AFAIK AGS cannot import complete views... or can it?

I see where you are coming from, but would not a restoration project on an old AGI game qualify me for ripping the sprites? AGI Studio refuses to export the views into legible code for something like Paint Buster or Paint.

Is AFAIK AGI some sort of new program? I know I really sound stupid there, but I have been out of the loop, so to speak, for almost two years now. :(
