Mikko

Too bad they don't meet the deadline (games in database due 31. 12. 2006).

But I downloaded them and play later definately, so thanks for informing. :)

Am I shameless enough to enter my own game?
Hell, yeah.

_Access

http://dasjoe.de/ags/AccessDemo.zip

For:
Best Gameplay - If you know how to use the GUI known as "Windows", you know how to use the _Access GUI.

Best Non-Player Character - The whole AGS chat channel  ;D

Best Demo - Because it's a demo.

Best Non-Adventure Game - Come on, you all want to be a hacker.

Most innovative use of AGS - More outside-the-box isn't possible... although I'm pretty sure my chances on getting this award are 0.0%... and this isn't community-decided...

Play_Pretend

Hey what, we're allowed to shamelessly self-promote? :)  Okay, but only because I don't know how many people will think of this one of the top of their heads, but:

CHICKEN VS. ROAD!

I'm hoping for Best Short Game, but heckfire, I'd take any awards I could get.  ;D

Let's hear it for Non-Adventure Games!

For your consideration: Secret Quest Remake (thread)

This 1989 video game rears its head!

Please consider this game for:
Best Non-Adventure Game - It's like Legend of Zelda. Only it isn't.
Best Programming - For the one time download of less than 1MB, you get all this:
* Keyboard movement
* Legend of Zelda style real time combat (Or real time fleeing if you prefer) with both sword and projectile weapons.
* Depleting supplies of both power and Oxygen.
* Custom Save feature in the form of a changeable password that is unique to the name you enter at the start of the game.
* Enemies wander around and respawn on death.
* 900 rooms to navigate. And only 2 room files in the whole game as well!
* Bug Free!*
Best Documentation - With MS Word autoshapes and lines like this, you can't go wrong!

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Specification:

Half a brain.
An attention span of at least 3 sec…ooh! A biscuit!

Secret Quest Remake [/b]
you know it makes sense :)

* - This statement is churlishly based on the total lack of bug reports since release about seven months ago.[/size]
Always carry a UV marker pen with you. When you go to a shop or a friend's house, if you see something you like, put your name and postcode on it. If it gets stolen and subsequently recovered, the police will get in touch with you so that they can 'return' it.

ok fine I'll do its

For your consideration:

Skytower Rescue Demo

Best Dialogue Writing (Really, it's good, and funny too!)
Best Puzzles (Pun based buzzles FTW!)
Best Player Character (c'mon he's just cool)
Best Non-Player Character (any of them really, but Flame n00b the most)
Best Animation (bother the horse too much before feeding him)
Best Programming (sure why not, I did some nifty technical stuff that you can't see)
Best Demo (Well it is a demo)
The P3N1S Award (Worst AGS Game) (Because it very well may be)

Gord10

I wonder something: Some games mentioned here are just demos and they are given the consider suggestion for some awards like Best Game, Best Puzzles, Best Player Characters etc. As I know, a demo game could win only the Best Demo Award. (as stated in the rules section as "Demos will be eligible for the demo award but must be in the games DB too, under the demo category")
Am I wrong?

Anyway, I wish I could release a 'serious' game in 2006. I just have LitN2 Demo and Are We There Yet? 2. I won't give consider suggestion for LitN2 Demo for Best Demo Award; as I have already frozen the project and the demo is too crappy. Maybe Are We There Yet? 2 can be considered for P3NISH Award.
Games are art!

King's Quest III Remake

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/games.php?action=detail&id=734

Please nominate this game for whatever areas you feel are most fitting, with special consideration for:

Best Backgrounds
Best Character Art
Best Dialogue
Best Puzzles
Best Short Game

calacver

That is wrong progzmax. Nominating Reactor 9 for short game and The Shivah for best game, as far as I remember Reactor 9 is a bigger game than Shivah and they both are medium length. I think bernie deserves to be considered for best game, not best short.

visy (the guy who made Lassi Quest)

I still haven't won the P3NIS-award. Maybe this is my cue to re-re-re-re-rerelease Lassi Quest.

I WANT MY GLORY

I haven't ever been interviewed, and nobody knows me anymore.

WAAH.

*sob*

No love for visy.

Seriously though, I won't be very surprised if Dave and Progzmax will be our Golden Boys this year. Go guys go!

Best Story:
Trilby's notes
Lonely Night
Duty and Beyond

Best Gameplay:
Duty and Beyond

Best Music:
Lonely Night

I'd really like to recommend 'Duty and Beyond' for its interesting story

and captivating Gameplay. The graphics reminds one of the golden oldie adventures.

EDIT: Sinitrena'sÃ,  'Lonely Night' has got a wonderful ambience created by the music. The story tugs at the heart strings. It has the most unique player character.

Thanks. :-*
