Title: AGS Awards Website -- New GhostGR layout!
Post by: DGMacphee on Fri 26/12/2003 12:30:24
Hi there,

I took the GhostGR's layout and redesigned the website.

Take a look and tell me what you think:

Cheers!

(Not long to go -- only a few more sleeps till nominations start!)

Nice layout and easy to navigate.  Good job guys!

It might just be my shitty computer but the mouseOver effects on the top were coming up blank (just outlined squares).  Just FYI.

It looks absolutely great :)

Btw, the "error" on mouse-over happens to me too.

Looks good. You should set up some sort of link system where people can download the games.

You're giving awards for adventure games and you even called it Academy? Ridiculous.

The design is highly pleasant, nevertheless.

Great job.  Very professional-looking.

I agree that it would be nice to be able to click on each game to download it...  Not sure how this would work for games with mirror sites...

Awesome, great design! yeah, links to games should be implemented sometime. Also, maybe a home page with some general info on AGS and the Awards?

Either way, can't wait, gotta catch up on my AGS game playing to be able to nominate :)

Just a few remarks on an otherwise great looking site...

Make sure that the font size is the same on every page. Also there are pages where the content is put in bordered tables (which looks very good) and other pages where the text runs the full width of the screen which makes it harder to read. And last but not least, once you click past the first page you can't return to that page.

But aside all that it looks real good.

On the font: Bah, as long as people can read it, who cares?

On boarders and non-boarders: Too late, I already did it that way.

On the first page: Why would you want to return to the first page when all it tells you is stuff you knew when you first came to the website?

Those things aren't really important for a non-professional site, but I think people suggested those changes because it would make the site look a little better...

Wait!

Are you saying I should be more professional?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, that's a good one, AGA!!

I may be missing something here but why did you ask what people think of the site in your first post when you don't care?  ???
