Title: AGS machinima?
Post by: Lionmonkey on Wed 12/09/2007 12:10:08
If you wonder, what is machinima go to www.machinima.com

So, how about this in AGS? I mean, how about creating spoof movies of famous games of the nineties, like Mortal Combat, Monkey island and such in AGS? It has a couple of advantages, that Flash can't give you, like you can import sprites from original games , even a little redraw them, it's easier to make walkcycles and you've got more control, you even can add a little interactivity to the movie.

So how about this?

Lol. I don't understand what they are talking, but it must be from Asterix and Cleopatra cartoon.

I think it's a fantastic idea, personally.  I'd even be interested in watching original material.

Netmonkey tried to get this going last year but I don't think anyone used it.

There really doesn't need to be a modular structure to this thing, though.  All you need is some graphics and an extremely long cutscene.

and voice acting, never forget about voice acting. Machinima with reading text is something to be left behind.

It's not really neccesary. Sometimes it's enough with a non-verbal narration.
