I was reading the latest issue of Finnish computer magazine 'Mikrobitti' and reached the last page. The last page always includes sneak peek to the articles coming in the next issue. I was about to skip the page when suddenly my eyes catched something REALLY familiar.

In the next issue of the magazine there will be an article about making indie games, and they will be reviewing some of the game making programs. But what I found rather weird was that all of those screenshots are from AGS games. From up to down, 6 days assassin, Norman Cooks in search for Don, Byzantine Demo and King's Quest VGA.
However, this isn't the first time AGS games are mentioned in that magazine. The magazine includes a cd once a year and Bert The Newsreader and King's Quest 2 VGA have been on that cd. Also, both King's Quest VGAs have been magazine's freeware games of month. Nice going, eh?
In another Finnish gaming magazine there was article about adventure games once, and AGS was mentioned along with some AGS games.
(I would have posted this in the another thread, 'AGS mentioned in a magazine' or something like that but I couldn't find the thread.)
AGS was also mentioned in "issue 40" of the mag pc utils "pc-utilities.co.uk" along with kq2, little johnny evil, and the six day assasin. this was a while ago and i haven't been around, so don't know whether anyone saw that, so...

i found some AGS games on the coverdisc of Retro Gamer, but no actual mention of AGS itself...
Wow, I feel honoured that Byzantine is getting sorta-mentioned in magazines.
Guess I should finish it then =)
Hey, Petey, I was going to post this :D But I don't have a scanner, so I wouldn't have matched your guality on the announcement... And I wouldn't have had the info to put down about earlier mentionings... :P I hope three weeks would pass fast...
And by the way, the finnish mirror for the AGS download is on Mikrobitti's server, under AJA's account... I wonder how well they're aware of that? I guess the are...
the fun thing is :)
they're promoting illegal stuff ;D
QuoteUtilising the same AGS (Adventure Game Studio) engine as the original King's Quest games
Maybe they meant the same interface. Or maybe they meant the remake of the first. Hmm
Almost got a heart attack when I realized one of the pictures was made by me. :o
I'm going out to buy that thing! :)
Oooh, I thought it was just a name mention and not screenshots. Guess I should read the post properly next time =)
All the honour goes to Pessi then for providing such spectacular art!
And there's 6 Day Assassin... AGAIN!
I'm like the king of all of you!
Quote...utilizing the same AGS (Adventure Game Studio) engine as the original King's Quest games, this VGA remake...
...huh?
They probably meant, "utilizing the same interface as the original Sierra classics."
Hey, come to think of it, I think they ain't even thinking about KQ1 or 2, just 5 and 6.

Don't people read my posts :P
Oh sorry, Aushor. I'd read the whole thread, then forgot about it, then clicked the nifty "new" button and saw only the new replies, skipping yours completely.
Well they could be mixing up AGS with AGI... but that would only be if they're *really* dumb. Well... :P
