So I wanted to add my location to AGS World Map but even though I'm logged in I keep getting the message that I'm not looged in no matter how many times do I click on that link that says "if you are logged in try clicking here".

What should I do ???

It's due to a past server move, I believe. The map seems to look for forum login cookies with the address "www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk", and since the forum login cookies now carry the address "www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk" it fails to recognize a logged-in forum user. Which is why you get an error.

I'm sure all it would take is for someone to update the maps cookie detection thingy for it to function properly again.

The world map has been broken as long as i've been here. 2 years at least.

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/worldmap.php works.

Also, the map should have stopped working about November of last year, nowhere near 2 years ago :P

radiowaves

Ah ok, thanks, finally got myself on the map :D

I also added myself, but in the effin' wrong place. Currently according to the map, I'm living in a forest in the exact middle of Finland. The coordinates wouldn't change when i clicked around in the zoomed state, so I just clicked 'Add'. Can someone please remove me?

Pumaman

The map has prophesised your future. Go to the forest, young man ... your destiny awaits.

I don't know anything about changing the current location, but i had that coordinates placing problem also. Then I finally figured out that I should use those arrows on the upper left side of screen instead of dragging the map manually.

If I understand correctly you can correct your position just by adding yourself again. And as radiowaves said, use the arrows and the zoom buttons to find the right location and then click the right location. Dragging the map stopped the coordinates from updating when I tried it. Might be a compatibility bug with firefox or something.

EDIT: Or maybe you'll just need to follow the prophecy and go to the forest. Your call.

AGA

Yes, adding yourself again will update it. Dunno about the dragging problem - Google wrote the map, not us ;)

Well, I've been trying, but the prog only lets me choose coordinates in zoomed out size. Must be because of using Opera.

Btw, now I live in the ocean somewhere between Sweden and Finland.

Gilbert

I remembered having some problems with Opera (don't know if they fixed them later), for example in Opera the zooming is instant, while in IE the zooming is a smooth transition. So just try using IE for it.

W00T I'm on da map!!!! (and there are something like 4 or 5 AGSers only in Italy, WTF)

Did you try locating the right place using only the arrow and zoom buttons on the left? As I said a couple of posts back, using the mouse to drag the map broke the system for me.
