Well I dared myself to write a LEC template. So I did. Not based on any particular LEC game as such, just the general concept.
There's a lot less script than Proskrito's template so perhaps it's easier for beginners to understand.
Here it is, a mere 26 kb (no idea how it got that small): http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/lecgui_ver1.zip
Well enjoy.
I had trouble opening it in AGS. It said the editor.dat file was corrupt and it couldn't load the global script. Also, some of the sprites were invalid.
I did see the GUI graphics, though, and they looked good.
EDIT: Never mind.. I'm using version 2.61 beta. I probably just need to download the newest one.
I'm using 2.61, no beta. I hop it works for you and others.
I'll be addin' it to www.freewebs.com/skimbleshanks/.
Hey thanks a lot, Redrum. If I ever update it, (save/load GUIs etc.) I could just give you a pm, right?
Yessiree bob.
Yep ... I will.
Just letting you know, there's a bug - when Roger's walking in any direction and you RIGHT-CLICK somewhere BEHIND him, he MOONWALKS in that new direction.
doesn't sound like a bug to me...it sounds AWESOME.
It's the sort of buggy - oh pardon me, awsome - detail that never gets shiped in the full game. Now why would that be, Idw?
I don't know, if I could get Bobbin Threadbare to moonwalk, I'd feel much better about myself as a person.
