I downloaded the DOS version a couple of hours ago and got halfway through when the game suddenly crashed during a cutscene. Unfortunately, it seems to be a file problem, as this happened again the second time I tried.
Other sites had the scummvm version, but the savegames aren't compatible and I don't wanna play it all over from the beginning.
So does anybody have the DOS version?
btw, FOTAQ is freeware since 2004.
How do you know that it's not just a bug that can't be fixed with your system? I say get the ScummVM version, bite the bullet and start over from scratch. Adventure games really don't take that long to play through once you know the solutions to the puzzles.
Well this game was annoying though, just my opinion.
It indeed has some annoying parts.
I just finished it, had to play from the beginning, though.
strange, it was one of the best adventure game for me...
Two guys made that game. They started out like us, independents! That makes FotAQ, a game both developers STILL earnt money from up until its freeware release - pretty damn special, IMO.
