I am making a game which will probably not be made in AGS, but is definitely an adventure game. This is the only decent adventure game creation forum I have found, so would it be appropriate to post about my game here?
Yep, the more adventures the better, you will probably have to post in here rather than the completed games forum bit
Yep, the Games in production, and completed games forums are not ment for non-ags games.
Do you mind telling us what engine you are going to use?
Most adventure development engines have their own communities, but if you can't find one, feel free to post here, in adventure-related talk and chat. Just don't post in completed games or games in production, as Damien said, those are only for AGS-made games.
Yeah, just post it here, instead of the completed games forum.
Oh wait, three people already mentioned that.
:D ;D ;)

Don't forget about The Crow's Nest (http://trumgottist.com/crowsnest/) (and since Erwin didn't point to AD (http://www.andventuredevelopers.com), I suppose I should mention it too).
The engine will most likely be a fairly standard Flash thing. I'm using this rather than a ready-made engine like AGS because I would like to combine a SCUMM/AGS-like interface with an isometric-view tilebased engine. It's hard to explain, but what I mean is the player would travel round in Isometric, and switch to a SCUMM or Myst-like view for interacting with NPCs or Interesting areas.
I will check out those forums and probably move to one or the other. I could keep you updated here too but bear in mind the game is still in the very early stages.
Thanks for the tips.
