Hi folks! :D
For the people that don't know about our project Bad Timing yet: Bad Timing is an independently developed classic point and click comedy adventure with 2D hand-drawn backgrounds, spoken dialogue and an exclusive soundtrack.
We've just opened a brand new website! We also opened our own community forums. They're a bit empty now, so we hope some of you are brave enough to sign-up and start talking ;)
Take a loot at http://www.justadventure.com/IndependentDevs/BadTiming/index.html ;D
Thanks!

Great. :)
I'm really looking forward for this game for quite a bit.
This looks totally bitchin'!!
The site is great, the graphics are unique and entertaining.
I can't wait for a demo!!
If you need/want Beta Testers sign me up!
cheers,

The game is gonna be massive on the adventure circuit..........
That is if you can match your graphics with good gameplay and story.
I can`t wait...........hurry up and finish.
Well, I've been looking forward to this for bloody ages, so FINISH IT SOON! ;)
Utterly impressive screens!
Truly the best I have seen so far.
Check my thread in this Cat, I would love to have you involved in my project although Im sure your time is limited as it is.
Hmm... I'm sort of disappointed since there aren't really big (earth trembling) changes. Oh well, the game still looks great. ;)

Hehe, I see what you mean. The character descriptions are new, though. But I'll add one or two extra screenies soon just for you ;)

tho' when i think about it, the previous page had more of that 'atmosphere'... y'know...
Maybe i think like that because the background is white on the new page?
Time to take off your rose-colored (or AGS-colored) glasses and get real. This looks like another crappy attempt at a "funny" parody with Cpt. Jane Anyway... A quote from www.adventuregamers.com about "Adventures of Fatman" explains this very well:
"There is a fine line between good parody and your buddy who thinks he’s going to be the next Weird Al."
By the way, while backgrounds look somewhat decent for an amateur game, the character graphics suck horribly.
'Nuff said. :P
heh nice post, way to hide behind being anonymous
i'd love to see what games you can produce
i also like how you can already say that this game sucks from a few images on a website...
go away, jerk
Oh well Edwin, looks like you'll have to give up and become a fisherman, since how can you argue with that right?

Indeed. The game's not even going to be a parody, go figure. ::)

However, on the subject of the BT character sprites - you may benefit from the next release of AGS, as it supports alpha blending.
One of the AGS-related issues the artwork suffers from is the nicely anti-aliased backgrounds clashing a bit with the non-anti-aliased (aliased?) foreground characters.
With alpha blending you could have smooth edges to your characters which would help marry the foreground and background.
Not that this should hold up the demo's progress, but it might be worth considering for the real game.

He's not using AGS.
iirc, it's a Sludge game?

What the hell was that? Is there any reason you just randomly decided to pick on this game? Way to go!

Indeed.
I think Anti Aliasing is on SLUDGE's to-do list but I don't know when it'll be supported.
Personally I don't think the characters look *that* bad. Many (somewhat older) professional games have anti-aliased backgrounds and normal characters. Bad Timing uses 640x480 resolution, like CMI which (IMHO) looked pretty good, and Guybrush wasn't anti-aliased.
Maybe I'll start a poll someday to see how important it is for the characters to be anti-aliased.

Or you could just ignore this dickwit and carry on as you are.

....or making the Sludge users pissed, by moving to AGS instead :P
Game looks really great. Good luck!
I don't think the sprites look bad either - I'd just thought (when I thought your game was AGS) that it would be a fairly simple modification to make.
Am I the dickwit to whom you refer, AGA?

Nooo, the 'GetReal' person.

Nah, that wouldn't make the users pissed. It wouldn't even make the author pissed since I already paid for the engine ;)
