Title: Beavis and Butthead Virtual Stupidity error (SOLVED)
Post by: mr.me on Thu 26/04/2007 03:21:02
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, so sorry if it isn't, and sorry for posting it at all, but I didn't know any where else I could get a solution to this problem.

At the beginning of the game on the roof of the school When I try to go into the Hock-a-loogie mini game I get an error message that says "The system cannot find the file specified" anyone know what the problem is?

Also this may be relevant to the problem: if I try to go into the hock-a-loogie mini game with the "BBLOOGIE" icon I get an error message that says "Error: failed to load sound 'loog1.AIF' ".

Thanks, any help is appreciated.

Well, *is* the file "loog1.AIF" around?

If it IS missing some file, you can go to the Underdogs. They have the full game, and I think you can download separate files.

I get the same error message for Hock-a-Loogie unless I run OggSetup.exe.

Assuming you got it from Underdogs.

"loog1.AIF" is there in the "BBLOOGIE" folder. I ran OggSetup again, but it didn't help.

I just realized that there were 2 things named "BBLOOGIE" so I named the folder "BBLOOGIE1" and left the icon "BBLOOGIE", now the only error I get is "Error: failed to load sound 'loog1.AIF' ".

I solved the problem, I took the audio files out of the "BBLOOGIE1" folder and put them in the main folder with the game icon and it worked. I think I will have to do that with all the mini game audio files.

This was actually a fantastic adventure game and a faithful adaptation of the license. I suggest everyone to give this game a shot.
