BASS Remastered is now out!

Anyone else bought this yet?
If yes, discuss!
I am playing it now and I gotta say its pretty interesting!
Whats changed? Looks like they made comic book cut scenes and a bit of a lame looking UI :/
Just for the iPhone then? Nuts, I thought at least it would be on Steam...
iPhone and iPod Touch offcourse! :P.
I believe they are planning on making a PC versino to through steam :).
I wouldn't mind playing some adventure game on the iPhone, but to be honest I'm not really keen on replaying a game I already finished once.
It needs actual replay value. Playing it once was satisfying enough.
"Beneat A Steel Sky", eh? Somebody in here's been dropping their haitches (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=38116.msg513557#msg513557). ::)
I kinda agree with Mr Jake's sentiment on this though. Unfortunately. Never beat the game but from what I remember I rather enjoyed what I did play of it.

Tis is actually a trend (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=39027.0). Come and join te party!
Haha, those new icons don't fit in with the style at all. That's what they call remastering something? I call it butchering.
On a side note, I'm so tired of people calling everything a "cult classic".
If something is widely popular and has a broad following, it's not a freaking cult classic! Well, at least it shouldn't be. It should have to do with cults. But I guess it hasn't. Either way it's an over-used term.
I've got to agree with ProgZ on this one. LOVE Beneath a Steal Sky, but slapping some big touch-friendly icons on the screen that do not mesh at all with the style of the art? :-\ It also looks like the gameplay art's contrast is screwed up, but maybe that's how it was before... It's been a while. New cutscenes look nice though.
You're absolutely right, Andail. I looked at that line about cult classic and chuckled a bit. I mean, I greatly enjoyed the game when I first played it and the animations are great, but it's not like it was some underground or grindhouse game.
Next they'll be calling Monkey Island a cult classic!
Maybe it's because many people seem to consider the whole adventure game genre as underground stuff...
Anyway, I'm not always sure when to use the term "cult classic" myself. For instance, is Blade Runner a cult classic? It was a big flop when it cam out. The legend says it became popular and profitable thanks to VHS copies popularity among drug junkies (the "cult" part) who watched it to amplify their chemically induced experiences. On the other hand it was a big budget film produced by one of the major Hollywood studios.
The icons don't look that bad but i'm guessing the big question mark is a hint system, which i hate. Mind you, iMonkey Island was the worst (shake, tap, or go over a bump in the bus to add another unwanted hint to the counter).
If you've played iMI you'll know what i mean.
Bleh! To play this would mean I'd have to own an Apple Product.
And that would make me an Apple Product Owner.
And that would make me angry.
Hideous icons aside, I can't see anything especially masterful about this remastering.
Be interesting to hear from anyone who has played it, though.
Well, I say interesting...

Heh, never noticed I forgot the H :P
