Title: Broken Sword 5
Post by: DazJ on Sun 06/07/2008 12:11:33
Anybody have any ideas wether or not there'll be a fifth instalment in the Broken Sword series?

I believe Broken Sword 4 was a reasonable success so I suppose there's nothing stopping them.

I know that there's apparently a movie based on the game in the works but aren't sure wether or not it's just a fanboy rumour.

I don't know about broken sword 5, but they do plan on bringing the whole series so far on to Nintendo DS, and yes there will be a movie. Also, lets not forget Broken sword 2.5 (http://www.baphometsfluch25.de/)!!! Released in 46 days! *Dances*. I've waited really long for BS 2.5, It looks fabulous.

Pretty much done, august they promised the final release. To be honest I forgot completely about 2.5 until a week ago.

Charles Cecil said at the release of the Sleeping dragon that it was highly likely they would do another one after. As they were claiming to have revolutionised the adventure with their BS4 engine, I'd suspect they definitely have something up their sleeves. Even if it's a completely original adventure, I've always gotten a sense from CC that they will, in the future, continue both the Broken Sword and BASS franchises. Good news :)

Yeah you can clearly tell they treat their Broken Sword franchise with a passion, and rightly so.

It would be great news to hear that a BS5 is in the works. I'm ready for another adventure with Mr. Stobbart already.
