hi there. i am starting a new indy fan game and i was wondering if there is anybody in this world of ags who would be willing to do some background art for me. i can do sketches (by hand) and scan them for you but the whole pixel shading is not my thing and i suck at it. you would have to be willing to work for free but you would get credits and gratitude. this would be a totlly non profit game purley for enjoyment but i want it to look good.
Not that I'm trying to dissuade you from your Indy fan game, but have you ever thought about making an original game with original characters and story?
I say that because there's already an Indy fan game in progress called Foutain of Youth -- Also, people (especially artists) are more willing to work on an original project rather than a fan game.
well i kinda checked it out on the FOY forums and a sequel sounded like a good idea. i mean if its not for you thats fine. also i might not even publish it
it is for (primarily) a school project but release is likely depending if i have to do the art or if a good artist does. just so evryone knows i am not trying to steal FOYs thunder. i was inspired by it. but all criticism is welcome but don't get nasty cos i'll cry
Just so you know, it took us almost 2 years to find Miez :p
riiiiite. just to keep my hopes up then eh?
also, i have an artist who can drwa but no-one on my team can do the pixel thing. it's sooo difficult. (you don't fancy donating a miez do you?) the only scen i have ready is the office scene which i ripped so i feel like a cheat. i want to make new ones so there is less chance of a copyright thing
