Darkseed - Where's the Mouse

I own this old game Darkseed, and it doesn't recognize my mouse.  I'm using XP with a P-4 computer; so I know that can be an issue.

I'm running it in DosBox, however, & this is the first time I've had this problem.

Has anyone else had problems with this game?  If someone's fixed it, please help me out.

No, not mouse trouble... I have SPEECH trouble with it, but then, I never use DosBox - I always go for VDMSound...

Hmmm, mouse emulation should be internal in DOSBox, if it won't work, try after starting DOSBox, run a DOS mouse driver first (like this for example), before launching the game.

Also, check that DOSBox is the most updated version (I'm using V0.63), possibly some bugs were fixed already.
