Title: Did you try runnig AGS today??(December 25)
Post by: Joe on Sun 24/12/2006 23:17:26
Hehe

I don't know this was aleady made with old versions, but if you try to open AGS 2.72 on Xmas day (December 25th) it gives you a nice surprise!

Am I obsolete? Or is this new?

Yes except it's now an escapable "error". Last year (and previous years (i.e., previous versions of AGS)) you would have to change the system clock to by-pass this Easter egg.

There's one here:

Never actually used AGS on Christmas Day, so this was new to me. :) I'm glad it allowed me to continue using it though  ;D or else it would be sad to be forced to stop using the computer by one of my computer programs...

The only thing I have to say is how right is Chris Jones in that message.

I hadn't realised that I have abandoned my family, yeah, I still have a life :P.

There was a member here a couple of years ago that was so outraged by CJ's message, that he swore he would never use AGS again. He was seriously pissed off. We told him just to change the date on his computer, but his mind was already made up. Too bad that thread isn't still around here somewhere.

Gagh, that's not good at all!

Maybe the destiny decide that to happen because it thought he wasn't decent enough to use AGS, since AGS is the best program ever made it's necessary to remove people who use it in a despicable way.

Hope nobody take offence...

Well... come on, he probably would have left anyway when he found out there was no Lensflare command.

No, he was right. I mean, come on, CJ! What business is that of yours whether we decide to work on Xmas day! And WHY do we have to put up with that ghastly Valentine's day picture! And WHERE is 3D support!

Plus, the "Make My Game" feature is BROKEN!!!1!

Ah. And I was hoping that it was just another easteregg to figure out how to use it, possibly by typing something at some specific day of the year...  ;D
I like the Christmas joke. It's proof that CJ does care about the community, or merely enjoys "speaking" to them at least once a year.
Could also proove that his middle name is Gemini...  ;)
