DOSember is a yearly jam that encourages participants to make games for DOS:

QuoteNow approaching its 6th year, DOSember participants spend the entire month of December celebrating DOS games, and their surrounding communities.

Last year the event attracted over 300 participants, and we are expecting record numbers this year!
So, naturally, it's time to run a DOS jam!

If you want to make something from scratch, go for it! If you've an abandoned project you'd like to finish, that's more than welcome, too! There's no voting, here — the focus is on making more playable content for DOS overall.

It's been a long time since AGS supported MS-DOS (2.62 with a Windows editor, but it can still export to DOS), but the old Editor still runs in AGS 2.62. I thought it'd be fun to participate, and since at least one person is working on the game, I've created some resources for you to get started!

If you're interested in participating, I've put together a small repository on GitHub with downloads, more information, and tips on how to retrofit code. I even made a modified version of Tween that you can copy and paste into your game:

You can also join #retro_gaemedev in the AGS Discord server if you need any help with the old editor or to socialize.
