Title: English check
Post by: AndersM on Sun 24/10/2004 19:22:42
If i would make an translation-txt file, would any of you guys 'n' gals
(with english as native language) bother to read it and correct my bad
spelling and grammar?

Since english isn't my native language I'm not sure that it's correctly spelld
and 'grammartized' in all situations, and I'd like it to be perfect...

Nah, judging from that post, you're doing just fine!

*scornful giggle

You could translate it into a Scottish accent, though.

I'll gladly do it. Just send the translation text file over to terranrich82@yahoo.com

See, this is why we really need a Skills Search function. :)

QuantumRich, I couldn't help but notice something funny, on your little skills button list thingy under your avatar, under proof reading you've put "misakes" instead of "mistakes". I was wondering whether you were going for irony or it was a genuine mistake.

What ever are you talking about. There is no misake. There is a mistake. I mean, it's spelled mistake. Not that there is a mistake, with mistake. Mistake? What mistake? I didn't mistake the spelling of mistake and mistake has not been mistaken.

/me explodes.

Goél,
That was a joke concerning MrMasse's avatar being HAL9000 from "2001: A Space Odyssey". HAL9000 was a computer that was able to control everything on the ship he was on. I won't spoil it for you, but if you watch it you will understand why not to trust a HAL9000. It's also a lyric from the Beastie Boy's Song "The Grasshopper Unit". When Athirwen began to question QuantumRich's motives of having a 'Proof Reading' skills button beneath his avatar, I posted that seemingly perfect joke about not trusting before finding out the question I thought was directed toward MrMasse was actually for QuantumRich.

QuantumRich obviously can't spell. Look at that last post of his, what a jumble mess.
We should remove his proof-reading icon by force.
He's a danger to the community.
