haha. that is pretty funny. It just shows that they only spent 2 minutes on gettingÃ,  a screengrab, and just slapped it on the article.

But again, congrats to everyone!

Hey wait a minute, the screenshots are all black and white with a tinge of green! Are they so cheap as to have greyscale-ish screenshots to save on ink? And is that why they got a boring main menu? (As in main menu's are boring, don't take offence)

stu

Holy crap!

My crappy game made it on there!

;D

Where can I get this magazine? I'll be checking my local newsagents tomorrow!

edit: I picked it up at WHSmith. It costs £9.99!! :o

(And don't get me started on those one off magazines with old stuff put on a disc, and the magazine put in a nice box, with a £9.99 price tag attached. Are people made of money, or just stupid to buy that?)

Did you buy it?Ã,  ;D

stu

Yes i did ::)

But hey, it's not often i can show off this kind of stuff!

I don't know about anybody else, but I for one check most PC magazines for signs of anything AGS related. You be surprised at the amount of coverdiscs that carry something to do with AGS, be it the program itself or some games.

Unfortunately its usually the same titles that feature again and again (Apprentice 1+2, or some of Yatzhees' games). Its nice to see some different titles, in amongst the usual suspects, this time.  :)

Yes Stu, in light of it having your game on it (That I've played by the way!) I can totally understand why you gave WHSmith your wallet to get the magazine! I've been in magazines over five times and it never gets old!

That would make a good thread.. the "Your appearance, name or work in a magazine"

Or something catchier.

£9.99? thats ridiculous!!! I dunno if I would buy it if my (nonexistant) games were featured...

I don't think Cirque has ever been in a magazine *cry* Oh wait, except that one time someone said it was in some Aussie PC magazine or something, but I have no idea what the deal with that was. It may have been a lie.

But yeah, I'd really, really like if someone asked me first. I wouldn't be able to help being annoyed if some magazine just did it without even mentioning it to me.

(That said, I believe the email address in the documentation for Cirque is now invalid. Should probably change that.)

Afflict

Kinoko sorry to burst your bubble but your game featured in a South African Magazine cover disc.
Called : New Age Gaming
All by its lonesome... :)
Even if its just on the cd and no pages displayed in mag its still not bad!

Anyway theat lassie game had a 3 page article in this months NAG New Age Gaming
Dearly departed or something... Kewl graphics.

Kinoko

Really?! I didn't know ._. A whole CD with just Cirque on it? Or other stuff, but it was the only AGS game?

LimpingFish

I've seen Cirque mentioned a couple of times, along with other AGS games, in a couple of articles on the amateur game scene, adventure and otherwise.

When anybody mentions AGS they usually mention some games along with it.

Most of the time its:

Apprentice 1+2
The Kings Quest remakes
Lucasfans games
Yatzhees games
Cirque De Zale
Fatman
Grundislavs games
Night Of The Hermit
Larry Vales...

...among others.

I must dive into my vast, disorganized, pile of magazine coverdiscs and document the When, Where, and Who.  :P
