Title: Evil Dead: Groovy (Working title)
Post by: Doc Comic on Thu 03/06/2004 17:59:17
I'm attempting to assemble a team for a game based off of the Evil Dead trilogy.  I myself am horrible at scripting and other little things, but I can do some sprites and can craft quite a story.  I'm working on a demo that will surely look like crap so I can show it around to people for a general idea.

If you can show me you are dedicated to it I can script for you. I am average, but I can pick it up fast. I have scripted in AGS quite abit before.

I suggest you get a demo, or some screenshots or further information on your game posted, or use the ACR thread at the top of this forum board to ask for help :)

If I may add something... You might wanna include only the story of the first 2 movies in the game...
The third... well, the third should never have been released if you ask me. ;)

No, Army of Darkness will be featured in the continuity of this game.  As I said before, I'm working on a small demo to show around to people.  It'll be horrible, but it will at least show I'm dedicated.

I'm still working out the plot.  I'm thinking that it's a few years after Army of Darkness.  Ash has been promoted to Housewares manager at the Dearborn S-Mart, earning him some well deserved vacation time.  Just when everything's looking good, Ash and his brand spanking new '73 Oldsmobile mysteriously end up at the Tennessee cabin that started it all, and a few "friends" have shown up to welcome him back.  Luckily, he always keeps his car fully armed in case the Necronomicon ever floated its way back into his life.  Now, complete with his boomstick and chainsaw, Ash must figure out why he was thrown there in the first place while on a trek through time and space.

I'm going to start on the demo soon.  I'm waiting to see how everybody reacts to the announcement of the game, though, to see if I should do it.

Doc Comic, I can help you with scripting and the design of the plot. I have a bit experience with scripting. Waiting for screenshots and the demo.
