Evil indiana jones and the last crusade

I like adventure games like quest for glory and indiana jones and the last crusade. I'm thinking of "remaking" indiana jones and the last crusade game such that the evil side of indiana jones shows up in this game

.

Basically the gameplay will be very much like the original one except that indy gets to do "evil" stuffs. I'll most likely be ripping the sprites and background from the original game to make the game.

I need some responses from the members in this forum whether will that interest you. As for copyright, will it be ok for me to "remake" it?

No. Indiana Jones is trademarked, the stories are copyrighted, and so are the games and associated graphics. Until those copyrights expire (which would be at least sixty years in the future) what you are doing is a violation of copyright law, and definitely does not fall under "fair use" or any other loophole.

That is not to say you shouldn't, because odds are LucasArts won't notice you, but don't think it is simply "ok".

Although it is easy just to rip sprites, it's better to make your own graphics.

I've thought of drawing my own sprites but unfortunately I'm not good at drawing.

Enough harping... if you think you can spin a parody of Indiana Jones in an evil way, then go ahead and try it. I would think that it would get old after awhile, but if you can make it work really well as a small game, then it might be great.

So yeah, go for it. Get the sprites from Scumm Revisited and add evil mustaches to Indy and Sophia and we'll all have a laugh.

I'll admit that I've had an idea of taking a game, and making it do a 180 turn for evil. I'd enjoy a game in this respect if planned and executed well.
