I'm sure most of you have heard of game maker . at the game maker forum they have a fourm where you can post Examples for others to learn from .
It would be nice if you had the sane thing here ..
If you need a place to host them just click the link in my sig for free hosting of files.

Examples, as in open-source games?
There are a few, but not many make them so another forum would be unneccessary:
There are some GUI templates somewhere, aswell as a verb-coin gui and open source platformerius here:
http://ilb.notrix.net/
And there's BlueGUI, I dunno the link, it's in someone's signature. :P

I've been just playing plataformius, and I definitelly think that many things can be done with that source... I'm sad for having discovered this so late, but thanks 2ma2 for that great game and give the source for free...

Yes and it does not have to be your games .. but maybe a small game with a gui that you do well and use color blocks for sprites etc or how to do some script. that way maybe some can learn from it .

Yes, I figured that's what you meant, but once again, if there are people who might be interested in making open source files then yes, there could be a place to post them other than completed games or technical forums.
I might be making a small RPGish test game open-source.. oops, was that too much info? shhh... ;)

I don't want you or anyone else that I  think you should give your games away . I mean make a small file (template ) that would maybe have something that would help someone understand how to do a script of some kind or how  you make a sprite grow  etc .
Little things that you won't find in the help file but maybe should be . :)
