Still under construction a bit, but here's a list of Remakes & Fangames of (or related to) Sierra, LucasArts & Infocom games (AGS & Non-AGS).
Sorted on 'Related to' followed by 'Title'. If there are mistakes in the list or/and you know games that should be in this list, please let me know.

EDIT: Working on a wiki version now.

Very comprehensive from what I can see, nice one Arjon!

For an even more complete list you might take interest in this thread at mixnmojo.com, Arj0n. And vice versa.

Thanx m0ds, I'll try to make it as complete as possible :-)
Thanx Radiant for pointing out some mistakes and missing info.
Thanx Ascovel, I surely will have a look and update this list.

Thank you! I was just asking about this on IRC yesterday!

And now I am disappointed that a Space Quest 1 remake doesn't exist yet.. bugger.

Thanx Radiant for pointing out some mistakes and missing info.

You're welcome.

Speaking of whic, this list is missing the following:

  • Space Quest II, by Kippesoep. One of the oldest remake projects, unfortunately cancelled.
  • Space Quest II, by AGDI. Started after they did KQI, and cancelled when they heard of the above.
  • Royal Quest "Reviving Lost Shit", by AGDI. A spoof on KQ1 that was eventually cancelled, but some screenshots exist, and I'm sure their old website is on archive.org somewhere.
  • King's Quest 2.5, by Crystal Shard. We cancelled that and made ATOTK instead. Weblink.
  • Hero Of Infamous Kingdoms, a game made for april fools that is nevertheless fully playable. It was a group effort from various design teams, and contains scenes from Hero6, quest for Infamy, and ATOTK (hence the name). Weblink.

Also, the top post is too wide for my screen, anyone else have that problem? Perhaps it would help to display the links as just the word "link" with a hyperlink underneath, instead of spelling out the URL.

Whoa whoa whoa. A Night at Camp Ravenwood pays homage to Lucasarts, among many many other things, but it's not a Monkey Island fangame. Outside of picking a similar art style, it doesn't even take place in the same universe.

arj0n

@Radiant: You're right, will add all off them.
Sorry, I'm used to my widescreen monitor :-) But yes, I found it a bit to wide too, so I was thinking yesterday to change all the into 'url=' with just the word link. But haven't had the time yet to change it.
Edit: urls changed, page less wide now. )

@Secret Fawful:It felt for me that A Night at Camp Ravenwood was close to MI.
So... to what LucasArts game is it close related, or isn't it really related to any game at all and shouldn't it be in the list after all?
Let me know please.

Secret Fawful

That's what I get for picking the blue...but I like blue. Think of it this way. Monkey Island was Ron Gilbert's take on pirates. Maniac Mansion was Ron Gilbert's take on scifi schlock. Ravenwood is built on the idea "What if there was a Gilbert-esque adventure game tackling horror?" It's related to them in style and era, but completely unrelated in universe, characters, story, genre, and gameplay. It's far closer to Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle, but it's not even quite like that.

There's no pirates, no ghosts, no meteors, no tentacles, no insult swordfighting, no Guybrush, no Bernard, and no mansion. It would be like calling Wretcher a Clock Tower fangame. Which it isn't. So Ravenwood doesn't count as a Monkey Island fangame. Or ripoff. More like a Ron Gilbert fangame. You can call it a Ron Gilbert fangame.  :P

HandsFree

That's quite a list!
Is it specifically for Sierra/Lucasart/infocom, or are there just no remakes of other adventure games? (I'm currently working on a Black Sect remake  :))

arj0n

@Handsfree:
It started as a Siera/LucasArts list.
But if there are remakes/fangames related to original series (like the infocom's HGTTG) I'd like to know.
That's why I like to get feedback from others so the list can get even more complete...

Doesn't Maniac Mansion Mania somehow also belong to this list?

Radiant

I've just tried out Knight's Quest and Silent Knight, and I'm failing to see how either game has anything to do with the King's Quest series, other than that one has the word "quest" in the name.

Also, I note you've got SQ2VGA and SQ4.5 both listed twice.

(edit) Finally, download link for Carver Island.

These will be on the list too, still on my todo list.
EDIT: Done.

Well, I've created this list quite quickly so some of them might not belong on it.
So I think I'll remove them.
If you know more games that should be listed: let me know.
EDIT:
Removed Knight's Quest II & VI .
Removed Silent Knight 1, 2 & 3.

SQ4.5: Comes in 2 versions. The version name was shown in the Version column, it's now in the Title column
SQ2VGA: You're right. Thanx, fixed.

It was on AGSA? Stupid me. Anyway, thanx.

The Fate of Atlantis 2 guys are called Amberfish Arts and have a neat website with screens and tech demos (that hasn't been updated in a very long time):

"Complete List"? False. I Wonder What Happens In: I Wonder What Happens In: Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 5: Rise of the Pirate God: The Game! (IWWHIIWWHITOMIROTPG: The Game!) isn't listed.

And dang kid, you worked on (beta tested) that game! ::)

arj0n

@Ascovel: thanx, I could have known that one too... Will add later.
@monkey_05_06: *slap forehead, embarrassed*

arj0n

Added DN's amazing 'Monkey Island: Carnival of the Damned' ;)
