Post by: Steel Drummer on Mon 06/03/2006 21:49:21
what the heck is up with sam and max flintlocked? I mean, they don't even have screenshots for it. Do any of you know what's going on?!!

It was doomed from the beginning.

you wrote in the mixnmojo/sam and max forum about this today. Your best bet would be to continue to ask questions in that forum, where BrushGuy would be more likely to see your post and answer questions. He posts there regularly, although his last thread he made was quite out of the ordinary.

But I'd rather a team be working hard on it, then updating websites... but a screenshot of progress every month isn't too hard to ask for.

The project is stagnating at the moment. I've contacted Purple Penguin and learned he was trying to contact other team members, but had no success. However, don't give up: there are no definite evidences of the project's cancellation (the website is still working, etc).

Well, I like the premise of Flintlocked a lot better than these 3D games TellTale is dishing out. 2D adventure games will always be better than 3D ones. Cyrus: did the author say if they had made any progress on the game?

No, he hasn't said anything about it. However, he has stated he would keep trying to contact his teammates. So...let's stay tuned!

Ooh another old thread! It feels like I'm retreading the past on these forums recently.

I am actually enjoying TellTale's Sam n Max games quite a lot, even if the puzzles are really easy.

For the millionth time, Cyrus, stop digging up old threads about dead projects.

Andail, watch those trigger happy fingers of yours  := Old threads are fine in here. Saves CJ some bandwidth when people start to decide they need to make new topics about old topics.

Good point m0ds, this wasn't a GiP thread. :=
Maybe Andail was getting bored with the lack of threads to lock in Adventure Related Talk and Chat, so he tried locking this one?

I think it more likely (and I agree) that it was the fact that Cyrus keeps digging up old/dead threads :)

I know this would be a huge load of work for you moderators but how about you lockall threads past 'the due date' and if the author has something new to add, he can pm you about opening it up.

Jesus lo_res_man, why don't they spell check every post as well while they're at it!  :P

I know, why don't we lock this thread unless people can get back on what the original topic was, or at least something remotely similar to the topic.

That's the funniest damn thing I've read in a LONG time ... thank you for that.

Thank you.

One interesting link to a Flintlocked-related topic (well, not directly, but, as I suppose, Flintlocked was based on these ideas): http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?p=1528672
