Futurama fan game (Arj0n)

When I said I had something special to show you in regards to a new adventure game, I bet you didn't realize it was going to be related to Futurama! Developed by Arjon van Dam on the MS-DOS group as a work in progress title, with backdrops and no actual game play as of yet. Will be very similar to games such as Kings Quest and Space Quest but with text speech in a style of Lucasarts.

Yeah, I've been following Arjon's progress on Facebook and it looks rather neat. I hope he won't have any copyright issues, but since it's a freeware I doubt anybody will care.

Futurama used to just be that show that was kinda like The Simpsons and made by kinda the same crew...

THEN it became that show that KICKED The Simpsons BUTT!!! (And pretty much the butt of every other adult-audience cartoon ever!)

It actually had a proper three-part plot structure which The Simpsons perverted on purpose at first as a joke and then couldn't escape from the flaws later on once the novelty had worn off...

It had characters that weren't just one-joke lamers...

It had AWESOME MUSIC!!!

SOOOOOOOOOOOO anyways!!! I can't wait for this project!!!

I've been keeping an eye on this at Twitter for a while but didn't realize this is actually being made! I'm pretty psyched; the art works really well! Good luck Arjon!
