I am a linux user, and I was wondering if anybody would consider repackaging their game for linux so I can play it. I believe it is as simple as choosing another option when saving the game. So, please, if you can do this for me, just reply to this thread with a link to your linux-packaged game :)
The linux engine can play any games created with AGS v2.5 and later. Go here:

and read the FAQ page for how to use it.
Yeah, but I think that some DLLs do NOT work e.g. Maniac Mansion Deluxe, New Adventures of Zak Mackracken...

that's true.
I think that no plugin works for non-window$ engine currently, as they're all compiled for window$. The same problem happens to the DOS engine too (and the DOS engine doesn't support plugins).
So I beg you all game creators, think about it before using any plugins, if it doesn't really need a plugin, please don't use one.
either that or if you want to play AGS games use windows, seems to be the easiest option...

Do AGS games work in Wine/X?

Kinda for wine. I've only tried it with one game, but everything seemed to work with the exception being that the mouse was nearly unusable. Sadly, a pretty important component. Still, it's close enough to make me think it might work out eventualy. I'm currently compiling the cvs version of winex, and will see if that works any better.
