Meh that's nothing to worry about.

What I suggest is using one of the RON characters and painting over it to make it more like what you want your character to be.  That way you don't have to worry about how good your abilities are but you still get to make it your own.

I'm sure no one will mind.

Also check out Insta-Game and Baron's Studio Mediocre template.

I agree that nobody's likely to mind if you re-use some Reality on the Norm (RON) artwork though.

You may be great with storylines, but remember to have your dialogues spell-checked before publishing your game...

Ahhh of course.
I might do the same thing!  My game is coming along nicely at a puzzle/design level, but I just can't do graphics... I can't even do shite graphics.  So I might have to borrow a RON character.

Infact!!! The style of my game kind of lends itself quite well to the RON universe... perhaps I should make it an official RON game.

You may want to try your hand at writing interactive fiction then. While AGS is more geared toward graphical adventures there are other programs out there to create text adventures. Of course some programming skill will likely be needed.

Ha, sounds rather familiar. I have some nice ideas for games and like the programming aspects of AGS. My art sucks, though. That's the main reason why I never got that far with my previous gamemaking attempts.

Oh well, I won't give up and my hope is to finish a publishable game some day - crappy art or not.

:-\ I think that a lot of AGSer's especially those new to the whole thing are in this boat...
If there were a way to organize game ideas, so that artists and developers with more experience could see them.

I mean the 'recruit a team' thread is pretty good, but who wants to join a project that there's no information on?
There should be some way to organize a game idea, so that other people can check it out.

;D course, the ideas should be fully developed first!
