Post by: MarVelo on Mon 29/11/2004 17:27:41
Has anyone played the pretty old production adventure game GUILTY?

If you are referring to the game "Guilty", sequel to "Innocent until caught", yes I have. Fairly OK as far as I can remember. How so?

Yea, I've played it, what about it?

I got to the end of the dude's mission and then the walkthrough told me to do something that wasn't happening so I gave up.

Ah yes, the game that ends just a bit after it tells you that you're halfway through. Then again, the petal-puzzle takes ages to figure out anyway. Could you believe if I said that I didn't like it? :P

Guilty? Not much of a game.
Space story (which - already sounds weak) combined with bizarre limited inventory system and weird atmosphere. Too hard or nonlogical puzzles... bah.

Then again, it's sequel is lovely. Ability to play two different characters - which really act, think, feel and speak differently in all cases makes this game one of elite adventures out there.

Guilty *is* the sequel.

On a side note, do the words "Presumed Guilty" rin a bell in anyone?

"Innocent until Caught" was the first game in the series, where you had to run from the "Space IRS" or something like that. The game had completely illogical puzzles where
Spoiler
you had to use a fly on a mushroom to blow up the bank wall to steal something.

"Innocent until Caught 2: Guilty" or just "Guilty" was the sequel, where you get to play with a choice of 2 characters which was fun until the ending areas where the puzzles were the exact same on either character. The sequel was much better in my opinion.

lol, yes I remember that, it would say you were 60% done, then suddenly you're 95% done with the game and then it ended.
