(seeing as how DOTT is Adventure related, I would assume this post is okay here, if not, a quick move to the GenGen is fine)

A site dedicated to collecting and displaying all things related to the Maniac Mansion games, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors games is now out for browsing. Its not the prettiest site out there yet, but its good just to get out the site. There has been a lacking of a home for Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle information for some time now.Ã,  I have put together some new stuff and collaborated with the old sites to bring you a first edition of Maniac Zombies.Ã,  If you haven't already skipped ahead to the link, you may do so now.
Maniac Zombies - Chainsaw Hedgemaze Massacre

A new layout and look for the site is in the making, and hopefully I will be accepted into the Mojo community with the site.

Enjoy!

Nice site. I've always been a fan of the MM games, and its good to see a site dedicated to them... as well as some other games I've never heard of, but I'm sure they are cool too.

Thanks, hX, I've put that up on the website.
m0ds, I can't wait to see the art. It'll be a fun thing to check out, and add.

I've updated the site tonight: I've updated the site
Maniac Zombies - Chainsaw Hedgemaze Massacre
to include more fan art, and some fun old reviews to look at, and read, if you're German. And read all about my fun adventures in running out of hosting space on my stupid Comcast server.

why don't you put up DOTT now that it's officially abandonware now? ???

dasjoe

imo it's not abandonware since lec/la still own the copyrights...

The term 'abandonware' has no meaning at all, legally speaking. This means that anything classified as 'abandonware' is technically illegal. On the 'net, the term usually refers to software that hasn't been available for sale for five or more years, thus by 'net logic nobody is making a profit of it any more and it could thus be freely spread to all who want it. Indeed most companies don't seem to mind (with a couple of notable exceptions, and note that for instance Sierra and Apogee still sell their old games).

If a company has willingly allowed their software to be freely spread and no longer wants money for it, it is technically 'freeware'. Note that freeware is still copyrighted (as an example, Dink Smallwood, and several games on HOTU).

Finally there's 'public domain' which means that the authors willingly forego any and all rights they have to their software, which literally means that anybody can do anything with it, up to and including modifying the credits and claiming they wrote it. Needless to say very few software is actually in the public domain, but any copyrighted piece of work automatically becomes public domain 75 years after the death of the copyright holder (e.g. most classical pieces of music are PD, meaning that nobody can claim copyright to them any more, and use them for remixes freely, etc)

Site Version 2 is out. Please give it a look if you have time. I spent a lot of time on remaking the site, so I'd appreciate your input.

Thanks a lot.

Well I guess if It worked, it would be better. In firefox, the title page a bit messed, like you can only see a tiny bit of the zombie, and the buttons to the games do'nt work. In IE, it seems to look alright, but the buttons to the games don't work either, I can only get into the site my actually clicking on the title.

And yes my Flash plugin is working for other sites.

Oh and in the site itself, there is a big white box under the headlines on the right in both FF and IE where I assume that there is a flash type thing. And the links on the left under Game Links, and MixNMojo Community all point to the news page when you first come in the site. On other pages they are good.

Maybe you want to take a look at the Dott 2 Trailer the Tram-folks released yesterday.
