Anyone know any good horror-adventure games? i asked a similar question back when i was Chrono Claw, but hell, alot changes in 2 years. I of long sense lost my password, so thats why I have a new name. Oh Ya And I Don't Talk Like This Anymore For Anyone Who Remembers!

Ishmael

Hmm...... I don't know if it is an actual adventure game, and if it has been told to you before, of if it anyhow could do as an answer, but:

Shivers

some Sierra's 1st person game... It's scary.. and I didn't finish it the time I had borrowed it form a friend... I should borrow it again...
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

<Calin> Ishmael looks awesome all the time

There was a game called lighthouse made by Sierra several years ago, but I never finished because of lack of time/interest. And I can't say that it was a game that was raved about, but it dealt with multi-twisted-universes of some sort.

Only one AGS game has managed to spook me a bit, and that P:DA, and only in that dream cutscene (it was already late at night when I played it, and I might have been tired, but it was kind of creepy).

REVENANTS maybe?

I just beat "5 days a stranger" . That game is F***** brilliant! man the more of Yahtzee's games I play the less I hate him.... damn... must not fall... to the dark side....

..........................................

Ok im feeling better now............. Yahtzee sucks
any more good horror games?

TheYak

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is decently creepy (if abstract).  Lighthouse has some good atmosphere.  When I tried the Shivers demo (before the game was released) I thought it a little creepy.  A couple years ago, I tried it again and I just can't get over the sillyness of some of the spooky-bits.  Gabriel Knight I qualifies as horror, I guess, but the bits that aren't go fairly slowly.  As said previously, there haven't been too many horror AGS games that were genuinely creepy or disturbing (Except for anything by Femme, but that's for other reasons).

Try 'Phantom of the Opera'. It's a good thing my computer didn't play the beginning cutscene (which uses live actors :P), or else I wouldn't have bothered playing it. It is a pretty good adventure game, and all the character animations are as smooth as heck!

Supposedly heck is pretty smooth...

I didn't mean that so literal! it think its pretty obvious by my post.

Divi-dead. It's an hentaï game, but the atmosphere's really creepy, and the drawing isn't bad at all. Oh and the story is interesting and complicated, contrary to the others hentaï games, there's even 3 possible scenario (and 3 different ending of course).
It's not the best game I've played, but I kinda liked it.

NightRaven13

I have been working on a horror adventure for six months now.   I have been giving quite alot of attention to creating atmosphere.   It's a INDY meets Ravenloft kind of thing.  So, hopefully I'll have it ready before the year is over.

"Jake Blackwell and the House of Fear"
Quoth the raven......can you hear me now?

Rui 'Trovatore' Pires

Phantasmagora 1 and 2

Gabriel Knight 1, 2, 3 (might not be horror for some, but fort other people...)

Harvester

Black Dahlia

Sanitarium

The Dark Eye
Reach for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

Kneel. Now.

Mage

Yeah, the Revenants demo is pretty creepy. I can't wait 'till it's finished, that game's gonna rock total ass. GO CHRILLE!

And my zombie game Evil Night will be released soon.

Evil Night is gonna kick ass too!

You know, I have this idea for a horror game too. I just don't have time to make a game of it... yet.
