I was just wondering. my maincharacter is 400pixels tall (more or less) and it's to late to change. but is it okay to have it that size, and maybe shrink it in the game?
another character I'm making (for another game) will have somewhat the same size.
I don't think the size of the character really matters as long as he looks alright in the backgrounds you're using.

You can use the scaling, set it to 50% or something in a walkable hotspot, and check out the results. Maybee this'll help ;)
