There was an old adventure from my childhood, as I recall you arrive at your uncles or fathers house only to find that there is some weird portal in his basement or something so you enter the portal and find yourself in a weird dimension, apparently your uncle... or father is kidnapped, you arrive in some construction site, one of the first things you have to do is change your hairstyle to something specific because if you don't I believe its the mayor... will recognize you and kill you immediately which is a random occurance, you have to get your hair foiled or something, I also remember a weird burger joint where you get some gloves for eating a burger since it would burn your hands otherwise, but the gloves are also used for catching a snake or something like that which flys at you from a tree I believe, I believe the creatures were electrified so if you stayed in that area long enough you would die. Its a bit of a vague description sorry, but I happened to have a dream about it where I was the main character which triggered my memory of this game and I realized that I never beat the game and would like to do so if I could only just remember its name.
if anyone can help me :) thankyou heaps in advance.
The first sentence sounds like Sierra's Lighthouse. The rest sounds crazy!
Sounds like it might be Universe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universe_%281994_video_game%29). I haven't yet played it (it's on my list), so I can't confirm, but it is available at Abandonia (http://www.abandonia.com/games/634). Also, it's the spiritual successor to Curse of Enchantia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curse_of_Enchantia), also available at Abandonia (http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/261/Curse+of+Enchantia.html).
Hope I've helped. If not, good luck in your search! :-D
Tass Times in Tone Town?
Tass Times :) Wow thats the one :) thanks heaps, I cant even remember how I came across it as a kid my parents were overly strict.
Yeah, Tass Times in Tone Town! I loved that game - I played it on the Apple IIgs. It's still out there, somewhere, but I don't want to link. It's a shame it's kind of forgotten; it was a really "rad" 80's game.
Bt
Finally beat the game i feel so completed lol like a mystery from the deep deep past has finally been revealed
"Say bye to Spot and 'lo to Ennio!"
God why do I remember that quote from this game. I played it when I was, like, twelve.
