Everyone here is so good with helping other with hints and tips, I was wondering if there was someone that might be able to help me with the name of a game and where I could purchase it.
I tried googling it and nothing came up.
Anyway, I'll discribe it as a game with a short little guy who has to go through parts of the castle on numerous quests. It has a celtic like or viking like theme with potions and wizards. The grapics on it are good and I remember that the game's view is from above so as you move you just see the top of his head and his feet as he progresses. There is an evil King that he fhas to avoid, and in one game he opens coffins to find items that he uses for other quests.
I asked here because I haven't had luck anywhre else.
Thank you

The only top view game that I can come up with at the moment is the Aveyond series. There are many episodes in several settings and the first one is medieval...   But you see more than just the head and feet.

You might want to browse BigFishGames  or PlayFirst to see what they have on offer.

Is the game an adventure game? If so, maybe it was one of the excellent Valhalla games.

"Vikings" and "top down" make me think of God Of Thunder but I doubt it's the game you're looking for since Ascovel's suggestion seems more accurate to your description.

Sounds like Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen to me.

Yeah, I was thinking Cadaver too, though it's isometric, not top-down. But man do I have happy memories of that game. Another Amiga classic that this thread reminded me of (not that I think it's the game desimaui asked for) was The Immortal. Anybody else play that one?

MrColossal

I've never played The Immortal but I watched a long play of it and it changed my life. For some reason it really affected me and made me think differently about games and game design.

I've been meaning to read this but I recommend checking out a non SA trying to be funny Long Play since I found the game unforgiving and hard!
