you go into characters, and click import character :)

you prolly want to do new character, import your sprites and set the correct view.

I unerstand that I'm not a retard what I want to know is where you get the characters to import.

Max2003 - I usually create my own characters and do all the work myself.
This is Kafka's Coffee (http://www.sylpher.com/kafka/tutorials.htm), which has some great tutorials on creating elements for your game.

However, if you're looking for characters that others have created that you can use there is a thing, I think called Instagame?  I'm not sure of the link, but somebody in here will know it.

There's also juncSource (http://www.juncmodule.com/juncSource.html) which has a collection of characters.
