Just thought you might be interested in the Infamous Adventurer's new website, that just opened a few days ago. IA is currently working on "Quest for Infamy", a darker, though still serious (No QFG 4.5) adventure that takes place in the valley of Speilburg 20 years after it was visited by the hero.
If any of the above text interested you, please drop by and take a look around. And check out our new forums, we're getting new people registering all the time, and it looks like it's going to be a fun place to be in the near future.
The link to the website is http://infamous.iconrate.net/

Hope to see you there!

The site is very nice tho!
PS - it's not lining up quite right, the bottom section of the site is out of line as is parts of the top section.
:)
Um... that's not what infamous means, necessarily. It means 'famous for the wrong reasons'. It doesn't have have to be lacking in quality though :P
Yeah, the site looks good, man! Nice job.
The screenshots for the upcoming game are good, too.
If you're going to have links to outside sites, you really need to have some way to break out of those frames. Otherwise it's just annoying.
But other than that, I quite like the design, and I'm looking forward to the game!

Q: Did you like Eyes Wide Shut?
A: Tom, quit posting here.
Q: Last night I got drunk and had sex with your mother. She loved it, she screamed my name over and over. My question is what are you gonna do about it?
A: Nothing Dad, you're drunk again.
Q: Can I ask a question?
A: I don't know; can you?

Somebody read the FAQ..... and got my jokes!
You're the first person to publicly laugh at my jokes. My life is now complete. Thank you, thank you and thank you.

It looks messed up under 1280x1024
I haven't checked it on the 1280 x 1024 resolution but I made the site specially for those 800 x 600 guys, it's not that I have anything against the 1280 x 1024 guys, it's just that... I don't have a reason.... sowry. :-[ I could make a little tag at the bottom telling you that it's "Best Viewed in 800 x 600.
I've fixed the lining up bug, also I've redone the corners, looks nicer and very smoother than before. And other little bugs which annoyed me, like the spelling and broken links, and especially that horrible mistake with the links sections, thanks for telling me, Dragon. :D Boy did my face go red! :-[
Thanks for the nice comments people, if you have any suggestions please do tell me... at the forums.
Cheers,
Broomie
change the table widths from % to an actual pixel size and it'll look just fine
I like the design ... kind of old school.
However, the navigation elements. When you mouseOver they become bold which throws all the other links left or right. It's a tiny bit bothersome to me. (some people might not mind that I guess)
The only other thing I would suggest is slightly darkening the background of the main table. (the light gray swirly background) it's a little hard to read the white text on top of it!
Other than that, it's a nice looking site.

Really, that bothers you? I kinda like it, well at the moment it's not much of a main priority on my list, on the next version of the website I'll make it more professional looking, (I specifically made it "old school" because I didn't want it to look too professional yet since the game has a long way to go, like KQ9.org I'll make a much better site on the build up to the release. Even though KQ9.org isn't planned to be released in another 9 or 10 months but hey that's close enough for me. But I will continue to add elements to the main site at the moment as we progress forward with the game. ;)

Done! ;D

Thanks man. :)

I tried that and I kinda messed the tables up abit, perhaps I'll look into it further. At the moment it looks okay to me. If you could make a printscreen of what it looks like to you that'd be good.
The navigation ...
I'm just a little anal about nav-systems! It's no big deal really. Go with what you like!
Old School style ...
I like that it's old-school. I don't think it hurts it at all! Oldschool = cool
Professional, to be or not to be ...
It's for a game (which is supposed to be fun) so I wouldn't worry about making it more professional. Unless, of course, you want to ;)
Percentages ...
I like centered/fixed width designs. But a lot of people don't. If you like it as is I say leave it ;) I certainly don't mind!
Keep up the good work!

gave it a shot,
got rid of the iframe and used a div tag and a server side include [not really necessary] to handle the frame in the center
i didn't spend a lot of time trying to emulate your site exactly and there are still some errors in opera but i just wanted to give you an idea of what one could do
the background to the news is all one image, http://www.sylpher.com/kafka/junk/edits/infamy/infamyimages/erictest.jpg by the way

Just to let you know I remade the website. Well actually I remade it a while ago and forgot to announce it here.
I noted that people weren't really fans of frames so I removed them, and suddenly I removed the whole site altogether and remade it. Fun lil world isn't it. And before you ask I made the little corners, sides, ect, in paint, I didn't rip them. :D
Tell me what you think. Criticism is greatly appriciated, bad criticism is something I will loath you for. Jk. :P
It's not lining up right on my screen.
Internet Explorer @ 1024x768
Rather than try to explain, I made a screenie:
Some borders are missing and aren't aligned correctly!
I like this design better than that other one. Once the bugs are worked out of course ;)
Woah! I wish there was a world where everyone used the same resolution.
Hmm... you don't have any toolbars open on the side do you, possibly favourites open or History. They tend to make it weird looking.
I'm running at the same resolution 1024 x 768 with ie and it looks perfect heres my screenie of it...

Hmm. I wonder why it's messed up for Mandarb.
Bummer.
Anyway, check out the forums if you have questions or comments on Quest For Infamy.

*sigh* we wish
It's not aligned for me using Opera under 800x600 either. (same as Darth's pic)
