I am thinking about doing LSL remakes, but i wanted to know if any were being worked on yet.
An LSL2 remake is in progress as far as I know - point and click but with the old graphics. There's a demo somewhere.
thanks, if i worked on one it would be with newer graphics, just cause...eww lol
Well, it leaves LSL3 which is, in my opinion, the best in the series. I'd love to see that done in VGA graphics (but not that psychedelic LSL1VGA and LSL5 & 6 style).
well what probably would happen is they would be hand drawn by a friend (my mom) haha, shes amazing..
my moms my friend O.o
I w@ntz 2 dr@w n00d ch1x :)

I'm working on an LSL3 conversion to point and click, have been since February, It is more than halfway complete, a beta will be released soon for some lucky testers.
This has been quite a major project so far, it is mainly been to help me in solving problems and learning AGS in more depth, (which is working quite well), And to get some experience in putting a large project together, before I take on my own. Although if any one wants to make a VGA version, Go right ahead, You can even get help from me with the coding.
Just be warned, you will have to make at least 80 backgrounds, I'm not sure of how many sprites yet but probably at least 4000 - 5000. It is quite a major project to take on, unless you have as much dedication as Tierra (and a decent team) good luck to you
Edit: I did mention it on this page.

although it will probably take longer, early 2004 depending.
and I brought it up in this thread a while ago

Heh, everyone always wants to ask if someone is doing a remake of this or that game. Almost everytime, somebody says...yes I am. Ok, so are you not going to do it now? That's the question I always wonder about... I mean, I know someone is doing a remake, but that doesn't mean you will rot in hell for working on it yourself. So do it for fun and if the other guy finishes, good...you finish yours, and I'll have two choices. :) Sounds good to me! Maybe three choices if I'm super lucky.
Remakes remakes...When do I see a remake for Mystery House? ^^
Yeah, I don't get why people would give up just because someone else is doing it.
Hopefully you can bring your own vision to the table, and maybe put a spin on the original that no one has though of. That's the only real point of doing a remake.
