Well, first of all, this is my first post here... I don't know if this is the right section, but i hope so... :)
I'm an Italian AGS user, and I'd like to know if someone has already translated into italian the help file.
If none has translated it so far, I'd like to do that. Is someone interested into helping? Would you find it useful?
If it is necessary, I also ask the permission to Chris Jones to make the translation.

Im sure Chris would be happy for you to do a translation of the file. It has recently been translated into Portuguese by Felipe. I'm not Italian, so I wouldn't use it, but i'm sure that there would be people out there that would find this useful.

You could also use google translator to translate the bits that you need.

Have you ever tried google translator?

Haddas

It sure does not rock!

The proof:

I copied:

"Three golden rules:
1. Is your post interesting, helpful or funny? If not, don't post it.
2. Post in a mature manner. Remember, the minimum age here is 16 - if you're unable to act that age, don't post.
3. If you're not a moderator, don't pretend to be one. If a thread needs to be moved or locked, the moderators will deal with it."

Translated sentences from English to German, then to French and then back to English again

Result:

"Three gilded directives:
1. Is your station in an interesting joyeusement, useful way or?Ã,  If not, you do not announce it.
2. Stations in a way due.Ã,  If if you recall, at the minimal age you are 16 here - if you are not with same functioning this age, you do not announce.Ã,
3. If you are not an organizer, you do not pretend to be one.Ã,  If a wire is shifted or if one must close with key, the organizers employ it"

Ok, this was going to the extreme, but Google always manages to find the wrong words when converting into other languages.

You can try it yourself here

Moral: Google Translator Suxx0rs!

I have used google translator sometimes, and I can confirm it is a bad translator, at least for Italian. Besides, some parts cannot be translated literally as whatever translation software would do.
